Your website needs to be found by a search engine, such as google or bing. Determine what your keywords are for your website by using a valuable tool to analyze/determine your keywords – the Google Keyword Tool. These keywords are essential in composing your text, and descriptions of pictures and titles. Keywords are distributed liberally throughout your website to enhance your search engine ranking or what is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Your website’s ranking in the search engines substantially depends on how many other websites link to yours. Find other website owners and ask them to place your link on their website. Google Analytics is a free application to view who your visitors are and to see which web pages they tend to look at.
Ways to get your web presence to get noticed (and provides for external links to your website) includes: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, other social media sites, blogs, Youtube videos, Podcasting, News Releases, Memberships to Associations, and Photography Sites (like Flickr). Participate in an online forum to get your name out there. All of these take time and you have to constantly work on this!
